Tamerlan Company which develops food retail networks «Пятерочка» and «Покупочка» in Russia is going to launch distribution center about 30 000 sq.m. area in Volgograd region.

According to the retailer's official report the  land plot total area is more than 7.7 Hectares. Warehouse contains more than 27 000 pallets stored in six tiers and the five tiers on refrigerators. The maximum possible annual cargo turnover in the year should be more than 3 million tons. Since 2003 the Group of Companies «Tamerlan» have been developing the franchise retail network of stores «Pyaterochka» in Volgograd and Volgograd region. In Samara region, in Astrakhan, Rostov regions, Stavropol Krai and the Republic of Kalmykia the company is represented by the brand «Покупочка». The total number of trade outlets of the «Pyaterochka» and «Покупочка» at the end of 2012 is 284. In the rating of the largest retail chains in Russia published in the journal Retailer Magazine  the company took 51-st place having revenues about 12,72 billion rubles (without VAT) by the end of 2011.
